Overview:
Our client is for a passionate and experienced designer, with a diverse portfolio of work across digital and print design. Reporting into the design director, the successful candidate will support with inspiring creativity across the Studio team and will interpret and implement creative briefs for a broad range of projects.
In addition to client design projects, the Studio team works across a variety of new business responses and marketing initiatives. The senior designer will need to be able to support junior team members, from critiquing work to collaborating on design routes.
The senior designer will also be responsible for the appraisal management of at least one of the more junior members of the studio team, helping oversee workload and project timings, with the support of the Creative Services Manager. They will also provide mentoring and counsel to individuals in the team.
Overall, this person must be a great creative, who has a passion for their field and is keen to join a busy and passionate Studio team!
Requirements

  • Display best-in-class design skills and exceptional craft across print, typography, illustration, conceptual design, branding, social, digital and motion
  • Present creative work to clients and the relevant account teams
  • Develop concepts from creative briefs
  • QA control of work produced by the Studio team, helping to ensure accuracy and creative flair of the output
  • Act as a brand guardian for specific clients and maintain knowledge of all updates to these brands
  • Be able to estimate timings, budgets and suggest appropriate responses to briefs
  • Ensure that work is completed within time and budget
  • Manage the career progression of up to two members of the team both with everyday mentoring and their bi-annual performance appraisals
Specific skills / experience required:
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator (essential)
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint
  • Desirable skills – Sketch/Figma, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Proven experience in campaign and content art direction and ideation
  • Experience in talent and team development / appraisal management
  • Integrated at heart and can confidently demonstrate a diverse and creative portfolio/ experienc
