As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company operates in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in the financial sector.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Monitoring and interpreting regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Ensuring company policies and procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conducting regular compliance audits and assessments.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all employees are aware of and adhere to compliance policies.
- Identifying and assessing compliance risks and developing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Conducting training sessions on compliance topics for employees and providing ongoing education about regulatory changes and updates.
- Maintaining accurate records of compliance activities and audits, preparing and submitting compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Investigating compliance breaches and taking appropriate corrective actions, working closely with legal and regulatory bodies during investigations.
- Staying updated on the latest regulatory trends and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to the compliance program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), or similar are preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
